When she discovered that it was a gluten and dairy intolerance that were making her life a misery, Boo decided to find a way to cut out the bad stuff without sacrificing those sweet treats she had enjoyed since she was a child.
Adapting those classic recipes for her own dietary needs, she found a way to indulge in delicious cakes, bakes and buns, all made from organic, locally sourced ingredients rather than chemical substitutes. A fashion designer by trade, Boo's cakes were such a hit with friends and family that she started selling them on her market stall, and before she knew it, a bakery was born. Combining her eye for vintage detail with her fond memories of her Granny s afternoon teas, Boo collected up her chintzy teapots, cups, saucers and doilies to create a hidden gem of a tea shop in the heart of North London.
