Peter McConchie was an internationally renowned fashion photographer. That was until 1997, when he returned home to Australia and was overwhelmed by the environmental destruction he saw around him. He packed his cameras and drove throughout the country, photographing pristine wild lands from the coast, to forests, to the desert.
The result is a glorious photographic collection of some of the most beautiful places in Australia, and a reminder to all of us that these areas will not be here forever unless we protect them. He writes about the places he visited, the threats facing them, and the work being done to save them. This is a unique book about our land - sumptuous in it photographs and important in its message.
