Animal Haven is a temporary home for all sorts of Australian wildlife, although there are a few permanent residents as well, like Oscar the owl, Fur Bag the possum, Cinnamon the koala and Alice the labrador. Meg and Mike live there, too, and they work so hard to help their parents rescue and look after the animals that the locals at Jeff's Creek have nicknamed them the Aussie Angels.
Oscar the owl might live at Animal Haven and be part of the family, but he feels he's missing out on the action - because all day he's asleep. So he decides to stay awake right through the day, and only sleep at night! Mike and Meg start to panic: what's wrong with Oscar? Someone has to convince this wise owl that he really is important because he can relay messages and help everyone at Animal Haven. But who will it be?
