She was co-author and photographer of Quilts of Virginia: 1607-1899. She has also written and photographed for several quilting magazines. Barbara has a Masters Degree in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University. She was a teacher and a professional sign language interpreter in Northern Virginia for many years. In addition to her longtime passion for photography, Barbara enjoys quilting and traveling. She is a member of the Southern Oregon Photography Association.
