As Night Falls

One October evening, Sandy Tremont is cooking dinner for her family when the front door bangs open and two men burst in. They're clad head-to-toe in county-issued gear, revealing prison jumpsuits underneath. Dirk and Pup have put in enough good time to be given emergency road detail, taking the opportunity to be outside as a chance to escape. But this is no ordinary home invasion, and as the convicts take their prisoners--incapacitating Sandy's husband, Ben, and isolating the couple's daughter, Ivy--the shifting landscape of Sandy's terror shows all that is at stake. For Dirk is her brother, the son her parents loved and blindly doted on while ignoring young Sandy. Now, if Sandy is to save the family she loves, she must face the one she tried to leave behind, and a brother who was supposed to remain behind bars. When Ivy flees into the cold, setting off a chase more dangerous than anything she can comprehend, Sandy's past and present will be pitted against each other in ways that leave her no choice but to accomplish what prison failed to: stop Dirk.
