Leonardo da Vinci is under great pressure from the Prince of Italy to design war machines to defeat the French.
Leonardo can't invent anything that the Prince likes; his horse-powered trooper tank is stupid, the underwater missiles are cowardly and unchristian and his rapid-firing weapons are too expensive. This Prince sure is hard to please!
Finally, Leonardo designs the "cycle", a contraption that is powered by pedals that make the wheels go around. But this is out of the question! While the Prince concludes that artists really are crazy, we might very will think he is too!
