Platonic friendships are surrounding each and every one of us and many of us, particularly females are blind to the fact that they are purely, in most cases, an act or unrealistic. Both sexes have completely different aspects as to what a platonic friendship is. It is purely non sexual however there is always this energy (biological chemicals) that is ever present between every man and woman. The topic is Evolutionary Psychology and the feelings that we have around the opposite sex are purely evolutionary.
Are We Just Friends? explores these traits and puts the notion of "can men and women be just platonic friends?" to the test and explains as to why we, as humans, feel and act the way we do around the opposite sex, particularly in a heterosexual environment. The book is laid out with definitions then a case study or real life (real people interviewed) scenario followed by the science and evidence as to why these incidents and feelings occurred in each scenario. It is structured in mostly laymans terms for the average Joe to understand its content and understand the message its portraying.
