A greyhound is found in the local shopping centre, starving and covered in sores. His owners are traced to a nearby flat, where two more dogs are found, filthy and cowering.
Taken to Beech Hill for treatment, the dogs have their injuries recorded and photographed. But the greyhounds are stolen in a late-night break-in. Carly knows that the case against the owners will collapse without them. Will she be able to track the dogs down?
