Since being abandoned as a infant many years ago, Savaana has traveled through the European countryside with a band of gypsy entertainers. Proud and independent, Savaana has no wish to be in debt to anyone. So when Lady Clarette Tilmont makes a ludicrous proposition, Savaana has no choice but to agree.
A near double to Lady Clarette, Savaana thinks it will be easy money to impersonate the lady for a few weeks. After all, the people in this tiny village hardly care what the lady of the manor is about, and her husband is traveling the continent. Surely it won't be difficult to fool the servants for a fortnight--or so Savaana thought. But then she met Sean Gallger.
Sean appears to be a down-on-his-luck laborer who wanders onto the property looking for work. Handsome, charming, and witty, he's a pleasant change from the aging servants who are obviously his lordship's spies.
