Schoolboys are disappearing all over Aberystwyth and nobody knows why. Louie Knight, the town's private investigator, only discovers that yet another boy has gone missing when Myfanwy Montez, the star of Wales' most notorious nightclub, the Moulin, comes to ask him to track down her missing cousin, Evans the Boot.
He soon realises that it is going to take more than a double ripple from Solsan, the philosopher cum ice-cream seller, to help find out what is happening to these boys and whether or not Lovespoon, the Welsh teacher, Grand Wizard of the Druids and controller of the town, is more than just a sinister bully. And just who was Gwenno Guevara?
'Aberystwyth Mon Amour' is a truly hilarious black comedy. As Los Angeles has been brought to life by Raymond Chandler and James Ellroy, so Malcolm Pryce makes Aberystwyth appear slightly glamorous and half-full of magical promise.
