When Abel Grable returns home from his travels, he sits by the fire and tells his family all about the jungles he has camped in and the rivers he has crossed with only the moon to guide him.
One day he decides to write his stories down. He takes the table into the peace and quiet of the garden and writes until it is dark.
The time soon comes for Abel to leave his family behind again and find work. But Abel's table stays in the garden, and his sons, Adam and Noah, use it to create their own imaginary adventures. And when Abel returns with more real-life stories, the children have their own fantastic tales to tell him, too.
A wonderful story about the way children use their imaginative powers to create their own excitement and adventure.
