When several young girls are murdered in his small rural community, young Joseph Vaughan is determined to try and protect others from the killer. He is powerless to prevent more murders though, and only when a neighbour is found hanging, surrounded by mementoes of the dead girls does the killing cease. But ill-fortune is not done with Joseph, and it follows him to New York where he has gone on to forge a new life. The past is reluctant to leave him alone and it seems the real murderer is killing again … Does the secret of the killer’s identity lie in Joseph’s own history?
