When Nina Quinn is hired to do a backyard makeover for her stepson's aunt and uncle, little does she know that she is being duped and that the makeover is actually for their neighbour - and business partner- Russ Grabinsky.
During the makeover Russ unexpectedly shows up onsite and promptly dies of an apparent heart attack. It doesn't take Nina long to suspect foul play - with good reason. It seems no one liked Russ. Not his business partner, not the other neighbours, not the person Russ was blackmailing, not his employees, not his sister-in-law, and not even his own wife, Greta!
Greta Grabinsky wastes no time in filing a lawsuit against Nina and Russ's neighbours for trespassing, among other things. And more worrisome is that Nina discovers she might be charged with Russ's murder - for suprising him to death - provoking her to start her own investigation. But as Nina gets closer to figuring out the truth, she knows she must be very careful - or risk losing it all... her reputation, her business, and her life.
