Who hasn't fantasised about getting out of the rat race, telling the boss what to do with his job and never wearing a suit again? Of course we all have, and that's precisely why 'The Good Life' has become one of the most popular TV series ever made. It's twenty-five years since two successful comedy writers, Bob Larbey and John Esmonde, came up with the idea of a rather dotty suburban couple living next door to two dyed in the wool suburbanites who turn their garden - front and back - into a glorified allotment. The situation created the comedy, but it was the characters who were so brilliantly drawn who captured the hearts of the nation.
This is a celebration of 25 years of suburban farming, with original scripts and behind the scenes photographs, as well as personal anecdotes.
