'700 Days In El Salvador' is the story of an Australian woman's unexpected journey accompanying El Salvadorian people through war and its aftermath. It's a story of salsa, saga and survival of not only the author, but also the people she met on her journey. During the 700 Days Michele spent in El Salvador she worked with El Pueblo (the people) and along the way learned what many Salvadorans have long known; in times of war, those you love become your greatest vulnerability. Twice she narrowly escaped being taken away by the military and knows the true meaning of fear - but also what it means to experience love, triumph, sadness and true companionship.
