Weaving ancient history with archaeology and spirituality, The 13th Step tells of a remarkable odyssey to some of the world's most ancient and significant sites. In 1998, Jude Currivan received a call to action: to unlock the ancient wisdom of 12 sites around the world and to bring their ancient healing energies into the present day. The journey lasted three years and took Jude and her fellow travellers across the world: from Egypt to Peru, from Australia to New Zealand, from China to Africa. Along the way, she gained access to sites not normally open to tourists, and she met a host of people - including an aborigional family - who are keeping the ancient traditions alive today. This is the story of her journey: an odyssey, an expedition but also a personal journey in which Jude and her travellers gain a deeper knowledge of themselves and the world. At the end of the journey, Jude realised there was another site - a 13th Step - and it was in visiting this site in Jerusalem that Jude completed her quest to unlock these ancient healing powers and bring them into the modern world.
